I guess that’s better than nothing, though. Now, for some unexplainable reason, my Lightroom only backed up as far as last December, so I was not able to restore some of my most recent presets. The choice was between that and Aug 20, but I was afraid that my Lightroom was already compromised by then. I was super lucky to have an backup from Aug 16 available for restoration, so that’s what I went with. Just in case, I backed up my iPhone to be able to restore most of my data in case things went awry with the iPad reset. Since most of my presets were on my iPad, I erased all content and data, praying to god that there was an iCloud backup available from before August 18, the day that Lightroom self-updated on my device. Considering how light they are, you’d think that Adobe Cloud would back those up at least, low storage or not. I back up my photos to iCloud, so that I was not worried about, but my presets were really important.
My Adobe Cloud storage was full, so when I opened Lightroom on my iPad tonight, not only were most of my photos gone, but also hundreds of my presets, some of which I worked on for the past couple of years. I literally just realized that the same thing happened to me, and I AM paying for the subscription.
